Magazine Event 2026 — Photo Highlights
A glimpse of our journalism and mass communication students in action — writing, editing, designing, and celebrating the launch of their campus magazine.
Every year, students at the Best Mass Communication College in Delhi step out of the classroom and into a real newsroom. See how NIMC's Annual Magazine Event turns journalism and mass communication students into confident writers, editors, and designers.
The Magazine Event is one of the most anticipated milestones on the NIMC academic calendar. As part of our mass communication and journalism courses in Delhi, students conceptualise, write, edit, design, and launch their own campus magazine from the ground up — mirroring the real editorial workflow of a professional media house.
Working in cross-functional teams, students take on the roles of reporters, sub-editors, photographers, and graphic designers. They pitch story ideas, conduct interviews, write features and opinion pieces, and handle page layout — gaining hands-on exposure to the complete magazine production cycle long before they enter the industry.
This practical, outcome-driven approach is what continues to make NIMC one of the top mass communication institutes in Delhi NCR, where classroom theory is constantly tested against real publishing deadlines.
Beyond the excitement of a launch day, the event is structured to build measurable, industry-ready skills that employers actively look for in journalism and mass communication graduates.
Students draft features, interviews, and opinion pieces under real editorial deadlines, sharpening the news writing skills taught across our journalism courses in Delhi.
From cover concepts to page grids, students learn the design fundamentals behind a professional print and digital magazine.
Working as editors, sub-editors, and section heads builds the collaboration and project-ownership skills every newsroom demands.
Every published piece becomes a tangible portfolio sample students can showcase during placements and internship interviews.
