Students
are exposed to rigorous practical training in various aspects
of media, ranging from still photography, radio production, film
making, news reading and reporting and Studio-based productions to
print journalism. The institute has its own
TV channel Voice Of People for exposing its students to the channel
environment. We also have a News Portal called "www.ann24x7.com" and a production house, ITV, which have been extraordinarily
providing an initial platform to students for recognition of their
practical work.
As
a welcome gesture, the institute also provides Personality
Development classes to all its students for about two months in
the beginning. This boosts the students’ confidence level and
increases their power of expression by brushing up their language
and widening their knowledge base.
All
courses have been designed keeping in view the market demands.
The courses give students abundant exposure in all aspects of
journalism and mass communication.
Short
term courses focus on specific market needs. Course like Certificate
in TV News Reading and Reporting, Non-Linear Editing, Video Camera
give rigorous training to students in that particular field vis-à-vis
giving them a feel of the whole media world.
During
the course, each student would be involved in two productions. First
10
minute studio based (multi-camera setup) production
and second, a 20-30 minute documentary, EFP,
on digital format. The cost of these two productions will be nothing
less than 3 to 4 lakh rupees per student. Ease your nerves! Because
this cost will be incurred by nimc itself.
